2nd FAIRNESS Conference

Dear all,

We are delighted to invite you to the 2nd FAIRNESS Conference, organized under COST Action CA20108 – FAIR Network of Micrometeorological Measurements (FAIRNESS), taking place on April 8–9, 2025, at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of East Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The conference will focus on advancing FAIR Data and Standardization in micrometeorological and environmental networks. We welcome submissions for presentations (in person or online) under the following themes:

  • Networking and Communication
  • Development and Implementation
  • Dissemination and Application
  • Beyond FAIRNESS Strategies
Please submit your abstracts by:
  • 24 February 2025: For participants requesting reimbursement
  • 15 March 2025: For participants not requesting reimbursement

Abstracts should not exceed 300 words and must include:

  • Title, author(s), affiliation(s), and contact information.
  • COST FAIRNESS membership (if applicable).
  • Reimbursement request (YES/NO, for in-person participants).
  • Preferred presentation format (in-person or online).
  • Relevant conference theme.

FAIRNESS Action Conference,  Rome (Italy)

Programme

This was a standalone Action event organized to present action results. The action financial support will be provided to all Action members submitting an abstract according to the open call for conference participation.  This meeting was planned as the last meeting in the GP2.
30 participants were planned for reimbursement. Additionally, we will make a waiting list, and all money left from grants, STSMs, and other activities will be spent on the participation of contributors from the waiting list.

Review of cost-effectiveness of FAIRNESS, standardization, and methodology improvement of micrometeorological in situ measurements. Identified new application modalities and “neighboring” community.
